When I asked them to spell out the company’s name, they just cut me off and hung up. This definitely seems like a scam and could be criminal under UK law.

This number and another one close to it have rung me about 8 times today alone. They've contacted me loads in the past. I try blocking them but then they switch numbers and ring again. When I pick up and ask them to leave me alone, they say yeah alright, but then just call back from another number. It's getting proper annoying and feels like harassment now. They must have my details like name and address or something. Honestly, there ought to be legal action against these scammers, it's just not on. Complete waste of time.

There’s been a bunch of these crash scam calls going about lately. Watch out when blocking them though, because some blockers only let you block so many numbers before they stop working properly. These people are just scammers out to steal from us. Anyone getting these calls really ought to report them to the police. It’s honestly one of the few ways we can actually fight back. Just search for ‘action fraud’ on Google, find the police.uk website, and hit the ‘reporting’ button. If you didn’t fall for it, report it as phishing. If you did share any details, report it as a crime.
