As someone working for the NHS, I don’t often get mornings free so when I did today, I was looking forward to a proper chill. Got a call from one of those telemarketers again - I can spot ’em a mile off now. This bloke with an Asian accent went on and on, thinking he had me interested, but just as I could tell he was getting hopeful, I told him I don’t drive. You could almost hear him deflate. With this lockdown going on, I’m desperate to find something fun to do!

Some people called me saying there was an accident I supposedly caused, but I’ve never had one! I explained that it was just a breakdown on some railway crossing, and since I was driving the coach I managed to get out okay. Sadly, the sixty elderly passengers didn’t make it and all died. I then asked if I could claim for stress from the whole ordeal, and the person on the other end got really angry and just hung up on me. Bit of a laugh really!

Some bloke called me, saying I’d had a crash and that he had a cash cheque ready for me. I said I’d look up his number on who-called and ring him back. He soon said I couldn’t call him again on that same number, so he’d get in touch later. Don’t know if he’ll actually bother ringing back though?

I got a call from someone saying I’d been in an accident. I was like, “Have I now?” He started rattling off the typical lines, but once I told him I hadn’t had any accident, he threatened to accuse me of fraud. Quite the cheeky scam if you ask me.

I asked the bloke if he seriously thought it was right to be ringing people up in the middle of a global pandemic. He went on about thousands dropping dead from some 'fever,' not just covid. I told him straight up that these calls were a load of rubbish. Then he started calling me names, like ‘fookin stupid’ and said I sounded like an ‘idiot’. Honestly, sounds like he had a bad day or something. Anyway, the whole call was about some small injury and felt like a total scam.
