Somebody called me saying they heard I’d been in a car crash. I told them that wasn’t true, then asked who told them that. Instead of answering, they just switched to a recorded message saying they’d remove me from their calling list.

So this lot said they got my info from someone else, but when I asked for the name of the insurance company, they just wouldn’t tell me. I’d actually been in a crash about six weeks earlier, and they reckoned I had a £1800 payout waiting. The postcode they gave me for my address didn’t even exist though, so I wasn’t having any of it. Definitely dodgy as hell.

Only Gamma would do that. The poor woman barely got a word in before he cut her off and told her to stick her phone where the sun don’t shine. She just ended the call after that.

We normally don't pick up calls from numbers we don't know. If someone leaves a voicemail, we'll give them a ring back. This time though, there wasn't any message left at all.
