Got a call from someone claiming I was involved in a car accident that wasn’t my fault. They had details from the car owner’s insurance, but when I asked where and when this supposed crash took place, they couldn’t provide any specifics. They even said they knew who the driver was, but wouldn’t share any info, blaming ‘data protection’ for not telling me more. The bloke tried to insist I had to accept £500 from him and said it was against the law to turn it down. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

Got a call from someone saying it was about a car crash, but I told her I’ve never even been behind the wheel. She didn’t seem too pleased when I said that, so I just ended the call and blocked the number.

They claimed I’d been in a car crash!!! I was like, no way, with all this happening, you’re still bothering people? Then she snapped back, ‘What’s that got to do with COVID-19 anyway?’ Proper strange call.
