I received a call from this number purporting to be Scottish Power. They mentioned my name, but when I inquired about the address they held for me, the response was a curt, “We’re unable to disclose that information.” Curiosity piqued, I asked how they had come by my number, and the chap hinted something about my Samsung Galaxy A21, claiming I had ticked some box - whatever that meant. I assured him that I hadn’t agreed to any such thing and made it clear he was just after my personal information, particularly my banking details.
