They weren’t too forceful, but they did encourage me to call a number. I held firm and didn’t agree to any of their offers.5 yearsI got a text telling me to ring this number about my energy bills. Like another person mentioned, they seem to target certain areas on set days, spamming the number to get you to ring back after the messages. They didn’t try to get inside or pressurise me, which was a relief. Oddly, two different people came by at separate times, almost like the second wasn’t aware the first had already popped round. I’m not totally sure if it’s a scam or not, but I’m confident enough to handle my own gas and electric accounts. Hopefully no one gets tricked into anything dodgy.5 yearsThis is getting out of hand. My estate is being swamped by these people who knock on your door, bombard you with questions, then just barge in and pressure you into signing up to whatever dodgy sales or marketing nonsense they’re pushing. They ask for your phone number, then you get a text with some "60 sec challenge" message. A mate of mine had her phone nicked and the number in the text, like the one above, was used pretending to be her. Next thing she knew, she’d been signed up for all sorts, told to fib, and felt really uneasy in her own house.
