This was definitely a scam.

I got caught up in the quick talk from some guy claiming to be from 'Scottish Power'. He kept pushing me to ring the number he showed me but then wouldn’t do it himself. After I said I wasn’t gonna call it a few times, they finally gave up. Seriously, don’t be fooled by the fancy suits and ID cards they flash about, and never trust them if they want you to think the number’s legit - they’ll never show you the actual messages!

Without a doubt, this is a number from Scottish Power. They even confirmed it through messages and an email I got. Seems like it’s the number they use for sales leads.

So this guy named Mat popped round to my place, said he was from the national grid and said he could compare prices from over 4000 energy suppliers to find me a better deal. I gave him my phone number, and later got a message from this number claiming to be Scottish Power. Not really sure if it’s legit or a bit dodgy.

Had a couple of blokes knock on my door claiming they were from some energy switching group called Interactive Challenge. They went on and on trying to convince me to switch, then one of them asked for my details to “log a request.” I was like, why on earth would I give that out? To make it worse, he whipped out his phone and showed me a number, but didn’t actually read it out loud. He then said something like “Patrick will return my call, just ring them for a better energy deal.” It all felt really dodgy to me - total scam if you ask me!

A guy came knocking at my door and had such a quick way with words, i ended up giving him my phone number and told him i lived on my own. He asked if he could come inside and keep me company while i called his company, but I said no. Still, he didn’t stop pushing. Looking back, I was daft to hand over my dob, phone number, name, and address. Now I’m proper worried. He even tried the sob story about saving money to buy a house for his mum.

Just like what’s been said before, some bloke came knocking trying to sell me ways to cut down my bills. He sent me a text with a number and then grabbed my phone to ring it himself. He claimed it was Scottish Power, but it felt kinda iffy. I told him to stop calling and decided to look up the number myself, which took me to some dodgy sites. Could be legit, but I’m not convinced. Best to always use the official contact details from the company’s own site. Loads of what seem like fake glowing reviews here boasting about huge savings. Watch out, folks.

So today, this good-looking bloke named Ben showed up at my doorstep. At first, I wasn’t totally sure about him, but then he texted me that number. After using it, I ended up saving about £360 in a year! Quite the surprise, really.

So, this guy rang me up saying he wanted to help me cut down my energy bills. He asked for my mobile and then someone else rang back. The second caller said he was from Scottish Power and based in Dundee, giving me some tariff details which I jotted down. I told him I needed to check with my current provider first before making any decisions over the phone. Later on, I looked up the number and found out it was actually registered in Glasgow, so I’ve blocked it now as it gave me the creeps a bit.

Today, a couple of really nice folks knocked on my door and managed to help me cut almost £50 off my monthly bills. Definitely not a scam!

I wouldn’t advise sharing your card info on a call unless you’ve found the number on the official company site. Someone called saying they were from Scottish Power, also mentioned a 60 sec challenge, door-to-door style. Seems dodgy to me - a few folks online say that number’s not actually connected to Scottish Power. I’d rather be safe than sorry with this one.

I managed to save £600 thanks to a call from a Scottish Power agent - honestly, what a relief! Loads of people are calling it a scam, but honestly, they’re just overthinking it. When I rang up Scottish Power myself to check, they confirmed this was definitely their official sales team. Proper lifesaver this was!

From what I found out, this number is used just for door-to-door sales reps. That’s why you won’t see it listed on the Scottish Power website. They have a separate team that deals straight with the reps going house to house, so you don’t get stuck hanging about when they turn up on your doorstep.

A really nice young bloke called me up and helped me get better deals on my electric and gas. He double checked everything to make sure it wasn’t dodgy at all and kept telling me it’s a proper company line that’s all about sorting better switches around here. Felt pretty confident with him, not a scam or anything.

Today, a couple of lads showed up on my doorstep saying they could lower my electricity bill. They claimed the neighbours were involved in some survey and I could get a discount too. They took my phone number and shortly after, I got a text with a number. When I dialled it, I got connected to someone but ended up hanging up. Bit odd if you ask me!

Honestly, just avoid calling this number. You can sort out any energy plans easily through their website.

Just wanted to warn everyone, got an email from Scottish Power earlier and they said they don't do any door-to-door selling. Also, the number they sent me isn't actually theirs. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

Some folks have been knocking on doors in my area, chatting about energy stuff. They then put you through to this line, pushing you to switch over to Scottish Power. I was lucky the call dropped before they could do anything. Feels like they're going after people who might not be too savvy about this.

Today, someone showed up at my door saying they weren’t selling anything but were trying to find a cheaper energy deal for people nearby. They asked me loads of questions and even stayed until I phoned the number they gave me. I waited on the line till the person said the agent with me could leave, then as soon as he left, I hung up without giving out much personal info apart from my name and address. Just so you know, they aren’t allowed in our flats anyway, so it’s worrying how they even got inside! Watch out for that sort of thing!

This afternoon someone came to my door saying he wasn’t selling anything, just trying to help folks find a cheaper energy deal nearby. He asked loads of questions and hung around until I dialled the number he gave me. I waited on the line until the person confirmed that the agent tagging along could leave. Once he left, I ended the call without giving much aside from my name and address! Honestly, be cautious because they shouldn’t even be inside these flats, and it's creepy how they managed to get access in the first place!

Is this a legit business number? They say they're from Scottish Power, but I had a look on their website and this number isn’t listed at all. Feels a bit dodgy to me.
