Someone rang me claiming to be from an energy company. She told me the insulation in my loft was linked to cancer and that the government needed to inspect it. When I asked for more info, she just hung up on me. It's a nasty trick to scare people and try to gain entry to their houses - really worrying stuff.

This number just rang me, and it was a really pushy lady on the line. I told her I wasn’t in the market for any loft insulation and that it's out of my budget, but she kept going and interrupted me like I wasn’t speaking. Makes me wonder how she thinks she knows what’s in my loft from Scotland! Honestly, I’ve got no clue what's even up there myself! 😂

Like loads of others have said, I’ve had quite a few calls recently - probably ten or more just this week alone. I told them to take me off their list and asked if they were registered with the TPS, but then they just hung up. A few days later, they rang again spouting the exact same spiel. Seriously, someone needs to do something about TPS enforcement!

Somebody rang me up saying my house was listed on some kind of "database" linked to dodgy insulation that the British Lung Foundation supposedly warned against. They never used my name and wouldn’t explain what this database was. They also brought up my energy supplier, but when I asked which one, the caller just cut me off. The voice sounded a bit like they were from Australia, I reckon.

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise, but I didn’t pick up since I suspected it was just spam or some kind of scam. As soon as I let it go to voicemail, the caller quickly hung up. This kind of thing happens all the time with these annoying unwanted calls, even though I’m signed up with the TPS. Another number added to my block list.

Got a call from 0141 735587, which I know is a Glasgow number but the voice was proper London-ish. The person kept switching numbers too, all under that same Glasgow prefix. I just sit there and don’t answer, letting her yak away. It’s quite amusing when she keeps saying “hello hello, are you still there?” Love turning the tables on these time wasters!

On 28th November 2023 around 5:41pm, I received a call from a woman saying she was Jo, supposedly an energy advisor doing surveys. She mentioned that fibre glass is bad for your lungs and offered a free attic inspection plus a supposedly eco-friendly option. When I asked her to send me info in writing, she just hung up. I had a bad feeling from the start, and this just confirmed it’s a scam. Don’t share any details with them!

She says she’s some kind of energy advisor for your local area but when you try asking which area exactly, she just shuts down and won’t answer. Somebody called me saying they were checking on energy stuff. They asked if i owned the house and what kind of loft insulation was in there. On 22/11/2023 at about 9:33am, this number rang me but i let the answerphone pick up and they just ended the call. Ive had loads of calls from Glasgow area codes and think it might be this person, 'Jo'. She’s called me quite a few times from different Glasgow numbers saying she’s some kind of local rep concerning my loft insulation being 'bad', 'faulty' or 'sub-standard', and offering to set up a replacement or upgrade. Seems a bit dodgy to me.
