This caller seemed completely clueless about my identity! They attempted to assert that I’d been involved in a car accident within the past three months, which is utterly ridiculous since I don’t drive at all.

A lady rang me up, claiming she was calling about an RTC. I couldn't help but ask if people genuinely still fall for these sorts of tricks. She insisted it wasn't a scam! I firmly told her it absolutely was, considering I've never been in an accident, and there's no way you're phoning me from Glasgow! She then started getting quite confrontational, saying it might be a mistake in their system. I promptly shot back, saying there's no chance that's the case. When she asked how I could possibly know, I replied, "Look, I’m 27 and work in IT security; I'm no fool." I challenged her, betting that if I looked up the number, it would undoubtedly be flagged as a scam. She dared me to search it, so I did just that and, lo and behold, there it was-over 700 searches showing it as a scam! I advised her to reconsider her life choices, as deceiving innocent people makes her lower than dirt, and then I hung up. I’d been having a rather rough day, but that little exchange certainly lifted my spirits!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Claims Direct. I told him I wasn’t up for chatting and ended the call straight away. I’ve never had any dealings with claims firms, so my gut said it was just a scam. Honestly, I’d never share any personal details with an unexpected caller - there’s far too many dodgy people out there looking to nick your hard-earned cash. It’s a shame, but these days you just can’t trust anyone!

The person on the phone never said who they were or what company they worked for. He asked if I wanted to get into online trading. When I said no, he then asked why. I told him it wasn’t any of his concern and made it clear that I wasn’t interested in anything he was selling. Just as he tried to launch into his sales spiel, I told him to cut it out and that I was hanging up, then I ended the call.

I received a call from them regarding a supposed minor road traffic accident I was involved in. Quite firmly, I let them know I had no part in any such incident and requested they cease their calls immediately.
