I recently received a phone call from this number, and the person on the line claimed that my gas and electricity would be disrupted for four to five hours at my previous address. Remarkably, he admitted to being a scam artist and even said he'd gained access to my phone. He urged me to notify the police while we were still chatting! Quite a bizarre encounter, to say the least.

I chose not to pick up this call as we've been inundated with nuisance calls today-three so far! One caller threatened me with a supposed HMRC warrant if I didn’t press 1 immediately. Ridiculous! Then there was another from BT claiming there was fraudulent activity on my account, which is quite laughable since we don’t even have BT! It feels like it’s spiralling out of control, especially as we’re registered on the preference service to keep our number private.

They kept ringing me all day, starting off at around 9 in the morning. Luckily, I've got an app on my mobile that warns me if it's probably a scam, so after a few rings it just blocks the call. Still, it's so frustrating getting these calls twice this evening alone.
