Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent yesterday, claimed he was from some National Accident Database or something like that. Said my number showed that me or someone in my family had been in some crash within the last two years. Total scam, obviously. I just blocked the number straight away.

Got the exact same call today and it freaked me out big time. They claimed I was under investigation for tax fraud between 2011 and 2016 and told me there was a warrant for my arrest. As soon as they asked for my address, I just cut the call straight away.

I missed a call and later got a voicemail, but it was pretty hard to make out. So I decided to call back. An Asian man picked up and straight away asked for my name. I wasn’t sure who it was, so I asked him what company he was with and where he was calling from. Then he suddenly got all hostile, saying he was from the Inland Revenue and insisted I give him my name. When I did, he swore at me, calling me a “Mother f#cking bastard,” and I just ended the call right then!

Got a call from this number earlier today, left me a message that honestly sounded like something out of a James Bond baddie’s playbook. It was all threatening and creepy. I reckon folks who are more trusting or vulnerable could easily fall for it or get scared. Pretty clear that it’s a scam. If loads of people report it to the cops, maybe they’ll take notice and do something about it (though who knows, right?).

Received a call from this number claiming to be from HMRC, saying I'd be thrown in jail and have my bank accounts frozen unless I handed over £320 straight away. Really scary stuff. They even told me to go and collect my kid from school and get a payment slip, saying someone would come round to my house today to pick it up. If I didn’t pay up, apparently I'd be locked up in London the next day. This has got to be stopped by the authorities somehow.

Just got this number ringing me, and straight away I could tell it was one of those dodgy scams, so I ended the call quick. HMRC never send scary robo calls or threaten you like that, and they definitely don’t set up meetings to sort out repayments, that’s a joke! Make sure to tell your mates and family about this, use Facebook for something useful like warnings, not nonsense.

Got some threatening voicemail on my answering machine. When I rang back, a woman picked up and muttered something I couldn’t catch. I asked her to say it again, then she just asked if I spoke English and hung up. Tried ringing a few more times and a bloke answered claiming to be from HMRC, asking for my name. I told him HMRC only contacts people by post, not phone calls. He then ended the call. All the people answering sound like they have foreign accents and there’s loads of noise in the background, so it definitely seems like they’re calling from abroad.
