Got a phone call from someone who sounded like they were just reading straight from a script, saying they were from O2 and offering a free upgrade from 4g to 5g. They mentioned we could keep our existing SIM and number. I kept saying “No thanks” a few times but they just carried on with their spiel. In the end, they just hung up on me. Proper customer service wouldn’t be so pushy or rude. This definitely feels like a scam. If O2 really wanted to switch us to 5g, they’d probably send a message first. Plus, you can’t just upgrade a 4g handset to 5g without new kit anyway!

This number popped up claiming to be O2, but something felt off so I just ended the call right away since I thought it was probably a scam.
