I’m absolutely sick to the back teeth of receiving calls from this number. Thankfully, I’ve got caller ID on my landline, which allows me to avoid answering, although I do occasionally slip up and pick up. That happened today - they were after a chap named Desmond Pennell, who’s a complete mystery to me. When I mentioned they’d misdialled, they quickly apologised and promptly hung up. Interestingly, about an hour later, another call came in from 01392 889403, again asking for Mr Pennell. When I mentioned I was tired of being bothered with this request (it's been a frequent annoyance for several months now), he apologised and assured me he’d take my details off their list. But then, just when I thought it was done, he tried to fish for information about PPI claims! So, I sent him packing. What a bunch of crooks! Best just to ignore these calls. Is there any way to block these numbers on my landline? They’re really getting on my nerves!
