Got a call from 0141 804 8098, some HMRC scammer saying I’m in trouble for tax fraud. They’ve even set up a dodgy site, and if you google the number and click on one of their links, it downloads a malicious file, so don’t do that! Although it shows as a Glasgow number, it oddly pops up with the international code +44 - total nightmare. Stay cautious, folks!

Got a call from some number claiming it was an important message from the EPO or something environmental protection related? Had no clue what it was about, so I looked it up here and ended up blocking them straight away!

I got a call on my landline, so I tried calling the number back a few times from my mobile, but it just went straight to voicemail. Definitely seems fishy to me.

I just kept grilling them with loads of questions, making sure they didn’t get to control the chat at all. After a bit of that, they never bothered ringing me again. That’s the trick I used!

What i do is ask them tons of questions right back so they don’t get to control the chat. It really puts them off, and since then i haven’t heard from those numbers again. Works every time!
