I got a call on my mobile and when i picked up, there was an automated voice saying I had been reported for tax fraud. It told me to ‘press 1 to speak to someone’ or else I’d be arrested pretty soon. Of course, I didn’t press anything.

There was that typical call centre buzz in the background. A bloke kept asking for someone called Mr Porteous, which I’m pretty sure doesn’t live here. I couldn’t make out what he was saying properly so asked him to say it again a couple times. After I asked him the second time, he just cut the call.

Someone said they were from MAUK and mentioned a no-accident car crash in the past two years. When I told them that never happened, they just ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying it was about a no-fault accident from a couple of years back. I told him no and he asked if I was Mr Porteus, which I'm not. Then he just hung up. I've blocked the number now, but I’m pretty sure they'll ring from somewhere else soon. What a pain!
