This call’s popped up a few times now. It’s a woman with an Asian accent who always quotes my name and where I live. I just told her to, well, buzz off. They rang again today from the same number - can’t believe they’re that clueless not to check a blacklist of people who saw through it. Got a call from someone with an Asian accent, chatting rubbish about my Sky account - problem is, I’ve never even had Sky. So, I grabbed my whistle and gave it a proper blast right by the phone. Before anyone jumps on about ‘they’re only doing their job’ or ‘you’re hurting their ears’ - listen, these aren’t students knocking about trying to make a bit of cash selling stuff. These people are outright scammers. Also, there’s no chance you’re hurting their ears through the phone; the sound on their end is never loud enough. All you do is piss them off, honestly.

I received a call from a chap with an Asian accent claiming to represent the Sky refunds team. Oddly enough, he didn't know my first name but had my surname, full address, and postcode at the ready. He was insistent that I was owed a £200 refund for some overpayment I supposedly made. When he asked for my date of birth, I remarked that if he genuinely worked for Sky, he should have that on file already, and I firmly suggested he clear off (though I might've phrased it a tad more colourfully).

You won't believe this, but I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who said her name was Jennifer.
