Reports on phone number 01415580000
2 yearsGot a dodgy call from a number beginning 0141 558, which I later found out other folks have reported as well on scam alert sites. The automated voice claimed there was unusual activity on my bank account - mentioned a £1000 charge supposedly from Amazon and another £300 one from some other company. It told me to press 1 to approve or 2 to speak to someone. I looked it up and this number doesn’t seem to be linked to any bank at all. So yeah, pretty sure it’s just another scam trying to trick people.Amazon2 yearsI received a rather dodgy phone call today. It appears that there have been other reports of similar calls from numbers beginning with 0141 558, particularly on various scam-warning websites. The automated voice claimed there were some dubious transactions linked to my bank account - they mentioned a cheeky £1000 charge from Amazon and another £300 from a different firm. They prompted me to press 1 if I wished to confirm the transaction or 2 if I preferred to chat with a representative. After doing a bit of digging, I've discovered that this number doesn’t appear to be linked to my bank at all, or for that matter, any reputable institution. I suspect this is nothing more than a scam.AmazonSubmit Your Own Report (0141 558 0000)
