Rest assured, this is not a fraudulent endeavour. They are a bona fide company based in the UK. You can check out their website at http://activealarm.co.uk/.

Got a call from someone talking about alarms and security buttons, but no idea who it was. Felt a bit off, so just hung up. Might be a scam or just some telemarketer trying to sell stuff. Be careful if you get the same sort of call!

Called by 01415360922, usual trick - they start with a £1 setup fee then suddenly it’s £189 to pay. Same old scam really.

Just got a call from 01415360922 at around 3:21 pm about something to do with an emergency button.

I got a call from someone saying the NHS now makes it compulsory for folks over 70 to wear an emergency alarm. He already had my full name, address, and email, but then asked for my date of birth, which I didn’t give. I kept listening to see what the price was, but when he insisted I had to purchase it that very day, I just ended the call. The red flags were “compulsory” and “buy today” for me.

Just thought I’d give everyone a heads-up about the number 01415360922. My dad’s been getting loads of calls from it about some kind of medical alert thing. I told him to just ignore it and not answer or respond at all. Pretty sure it’s a complete scam, so be careful!

Sounds like a total scam to me, they were pushing some medical alert button nonsense. I played along and let him ramble until he tried to get my card details, then I gave him a piece of my mind.

I got a call from 01415360922 claiming to be from Active Alarm, saying my partner was eligible for a health alarm pendant. When I said I’d ring Active Alarm myself to check, he insisted the number I had was wrong and I should use his instead. I turned down the offer, and then he started saying I needed treatment for not trusting him and threatened to have me thrown in jail. Definitely be cautious if this number calls you.

My gran got a call today, total scam. They were pushing for a single payment to be made. We’ve already reported it to the police.

Had a call from some bloke claiming to sell personal alarms, sounded like a medical scam to me. I kept him on the line to figure out his game. He said his name was Sam Wilson. I ended up giving him a made-up address and account number, which he asked me about like four times to check. If you’re not sure how to handle these sorts of calls, best just hang up or ignore them outright. I reckon they’ll ring back soon once they realise the account info was a fake.

This week I got a call from 01415360928 saying it was for a medical check-up for people over 70, to review medication. But when they rang back today, a different caller tried hard to sell me some kind of emergency pendant. They were really insistent, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be a medical alert service. I ended the call straight away. Then they phoned me back, so I just hung up again and turned my phone off for about ten minutes. Fingers crossed, haven't heard from them since!

It's a complete con, frankly. Do check out Jim Browning's videos on YouTube; he delves into how these scammers manipulate your data, passing it along to other shady outfits that aim to trick you into thinking they're trustworthy. It's quite eye-opening!

Received a call from this number today. It only seemed fishy when the guy asked for £189 as some kind of 'connection fee' for a medical alert device for me and my wife, which we never asked for or needed. He tried to make it sound like he was with the NHS but honestly, it didn’t come across as believable at all!

We got a call asking for more money for medical pendants, but since we'd already received a letter updating our standing order for this place, we weren't keen to send anything else just over the phone.

I received a call regarding some sort of medical alert device, where they were fishing for my personal information. I decided it was best to end the conversation there and just hung up.

I got a call from someone wanting me to pay £100 just once to swap out a medical alarm pendant that you wear on your neck. It seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Had a call from medical alarm, spent about 16 minutes on the phone with them. Kept insisting I wanted it, but I said I didn’t. Eventually I just hung up ’cause they wouldn’t stop.

they never really got round to explaining what they wanted, just kept going on about how i’d already talked to someone else from their team, and how i’d apparently told that person my name and address. i kept saying that wasn’t true. then they just went over the same stuff again and again. asked them to stop beating around the bush and just say what it was about. they said, “let me explain”, then started repeating it all once more! if this wasn’t an automated voice, it was doing a convincing robot act. still no clue what the call was for.

Got a call from someone pretending to be with a medical alert company, saying I qualified for a free emergency pendant. I let him run on for a bit, then kindly told him I wasn't interested and ended the chat without being rude. What a waste of time!
