Got a call from a bloke claiming he was part of Amazon’s ‘fraud team’, telling me my account was hacked and orders were being made. I asked for his number saying I'd ring back using another phone, and suddenly he started to falter. So I just hung up and sent a message straight to Amazon via email instead.

I got a call from an Asian lady who claimed there was some dodgy activity on my Amazon account, something about buying an iPhone without my okay. She asked if I wanted to stop the order and said she’d guide me through the steps if I logged into my iPad, phone or laptop. I told her straight up that she was a terrible person trying to trick honest folks, and that what she’s doing is shameful, not just for her but for her family too. Called her a criminal. Then, she just cut the call!

I got a call from a woman with an accent, and there was loads of noise in the background, like you could tell it was probably a call centre. She claimed someone had bought an iPhone 7 using my info. I said alright, let me just look it up online, then I ended the call.

Got a call on Saturday at about 11:45 from a woman who said her name was Veronica. You could hear loads of noise, like she was working in one of them busy call centres. She claimed my Amazon Prime was about to run out and wanted me to pay £79.99 to renew it. I said I don’t actually have an Amazon account and then she just cut the call off.

Then, I got 3 more calls from the same number back to back. Thing is, I don’t even have Amazon Prime! She was rambling on about taking £79 from my account - which is funny cause I don’t even use Amazon Prime. Makes no sense at all how they think they can just take money like that.

They never bothered to ask me my name, just jumped straight into asking if I’d signed up for Amazon Prime. I never said anything about being charged if I didn’t cancel. I stood my ground, informing them that I would record the conversation and use it as proof in court against their unverified claims. This number really should be shut off. I got a call from someone called Jessica, supposedly from "London," but then she went on asking what the weather’s like in the UK! I’ve got this bell by my phone that I keep ringing over and over until they finally give up, fingers crossed they can’t hear properly and won’t bother ringing back. Took about 7 minutes for her to finally realise I wasn’t biting today. Well, at least for those 7 minutes she wasn’t calling anyone else I guess!

I got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon Prime saying my membership ran out and if I wanted to renew or cancel it. I found it fishy since I dont even have Amazon Prime at all. When I said cancel, she wanted me to send some kind of code to a device online but refused to send it via email and kept pressing for my phone number. Surely a scam, no doubt about it.

Sounds like a scam to me. The caller claimed to be from insurance and wanted to talk about some accident. I just ended the call right away.

Tried calling back but no response, just a dropped call. Most of the time it’s those usual scams about Microsoft or folks pretending to be from POV panel tech support, but this one felt different!

This number apparently claimed to be Microsoft and called my wife, warning her about some suspicious stuff going on with her computer. Then, about 30 minutes later, they rang back and wanted to talk to me, saying the same thing. Clearly just a scam trying to trick us.

Got a call bright and early on a Saturday at 7.40am, turned out to be a total scam!

Got a call supposedly from Microsoft, but since my laptop runs Mint Linux and has zero Microsoft software, I knew straight away it was a scam. I’ve blocked the number now using my CPR CallBlocker. Definitely one to watch out for!

I get calls all the time from numbers where no one ever speaks a word. I’ve stopped even answering properly or greeting them cause there’s been so many sketchy calls recently. Most times, they just hang up right after I pick up.

Ah, the classic Microsoft 'your computer has a problem' scam! When the caller asked if I was the owner of the computer, I told her which one? since we have a few around here used by different folks. She just dropped the call right then!
