Got a call from some bloke claiming he was from national accident claims, said it was about a road accident I supposedly had. I told him I’ve never been in any accident. He then asked if maybe a family member had been involved. When I said no, he said sorry and that they’d take me off their list. Not sure I really believe that though.

The most recent caller was from this number, yet they failed to leave a message. When I attempted to return the call, I was prompted to ring back at a later time. I have a suspicion that this number has tried to reach me previously, as I remember picking up once before, only to be met with silence on the other end.

Got a call from National Claims Helpline about an accident claim. When I asked for the date of the accident, the guy said I should already know and refused to give me any details. Curious about where they got my phone number, I asked and he said from something called the U.K. Crash Record. I asked if that was a government agency, and he said it wasn't. I told him it sounded like he was making it up, and he asked why I thought that. Then I admitted I don’t even drive. He just said maybe the numbers got crossed and then hung up wishing me a good day. What a bizarre experience!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with some "national claims company," whatever that means, asking if I’d been in any kind of accident recently. Sounds dodgy to me. I just blocked the number and reported it straight away.

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent, said he was from some place like NCH or NCS - couldn't quite catch it. I was actually on a Zoom call when he rang. When I asked what that organisation was, he told me it was about a road traffic accident claim. I quickly cut in and said, loud enough for him to hear, "I’ve never been in any accident, so you’ve got the wrong number. Bye," then ended the call. These dodgy scammers are relentless - that’s two in just thirty minutes today!
