Got a call from a Glasgow number just now and the same just yesterday - blocked straight away. I seriously don’t know who it could be, definitely no one I wanna talk to. My rule’s simple: if I don’t know the number and wasn’t expecting a call, it’s probably not worth my time and gets blocked. If it really matters, there’s always other ways they can reach me - maybe an email, a visit or even a letter through the mailbox, yeah? :-)

Proper rude lot calling from this number, the minute you try to hang up or stop them with their rubbish, they start barking about me not owning my house. Got a call from Home Energy Scotland. We had a quick chat about whether I owned my place, then they suddenly passed me on to someone pushing window sales. I told them I wasn’t keen, and of course they hit me with the classic "I’m not asking you to pay anything right now". Total scam if you ask me!!

I got a call from a firm claiming they were working on behalf of the Scottish government, offering house repairs at cheaper prices. When I told them we'd already paid for everything, the person said they'd remove us from their list. This was about three weeks back. The caller was really rude and just said we’d been dropped from the list. Lovely.

I'm on the ex-directory list and signed up to the telephone preference service, so I shouldn’t be getting any random calls. Some bloke rang me, mentioned my name straight away, then started his spiel about replacement windows supposedly nearby. I politely told him he had no right to call me and asked how he got my details. Next thing, he just hung up without saying sorry or anything. These cold callers must be using sold-on info or something.

Got a call from some cheeky bloke claiming he wanted to help me with my energy bills. He asked if I owned the property I’m at, then went quiet like he was stuck on his script. When I asked if that pause was for me to say yes or no about owning the place, he awkwardly said yes. I told him I don’t share that kinda info with unexpected calls and that this is a business number. He got a bit annoyed, asking “Business? What business?” I shot back, “None of your concern, mate,” and then he just hung up. Definitely sounds like a nuisance waiting to happen.
