I think the caller mentioned something about checking my bank account because of the rising living expenses, but I wasn't really sure.

When I picked up, the person on the other end used my name which made it seem quite legit. They claimed to be from Bank of Scotland and wanted to check some details on my account. I told them I was expecting a very important call from the hospital and asked if they could ring back later. After that I ended the call as I didn’t want to waste any more time. I then phoned Bank of Scotland myself and gave them the number to check if it was genuine but they said it wasn’t and praised me for being cautious. Just a heads up to everyone - never hand over your info to callers like this.
