When I picked up the phone, the caller seemed quite credible, even mentioning my name right off the bat. They claimed to represent the Bank of Scotland and said they wanted to review my account details. I explained that I couldn't chat as I was expecting a vital call from the hospital. They inquired if they could ring back another day, but I decided I needed to cut the conversation short and hung up. I then promptly called the Bank of Scotland myself to confirm the number. They couldn't trace it, and reassured me that I had made a wise decision. Just a heads up to everyone - stay vigilant and refrain from disclosing any personal information!
