Since 24/07/2020 I've been getting calls nearly every day from 0141 530 6379 on our home phone. My missus never picks up her mobile if it’s an unknown number, but I’ve accidentally answered a few times. With this Covid-19 situation, I really need to keep our landline free for medical calls like asthma check-ups and such. Whenever I do pick up, there's always someone on the other end. It's getting so annoying. Blocking their number doesn’t seem to do anything - they must have loads of phones or some way to get around the blocks. Honestly, I think TalkTalk should really sort this out.

Honestly, I’m baffled how they managed to call me on this number - it’s a secret burner, not plastered anywhere (bit funny, I’m no secret agent or anything lol). Anyway, my tip for everyone: save this number as "Energy Switch Nuisance" or something like that so you won’t pick up by mistake. Just blocking it won’t help since they’ll just ring you from another number and you end up stuck in the same annoying loop!

A guy with an Asian accent called and said my full name, but didn’t say it quite right. He claimed to be from Cheap Energy, which I’ve heard of before. He tried to get me to confirm my full address and if I was the one paying the bills. What really threw me was that he seemed to know my name and address despite calling my mobile, so I asked how he got the info. He said I must have filled out a form online for something. He was going on about my energy bills and trying to offer me a cheaper deal, but I ended the call.
