This Auto Assist supposedly said I was in an accident in the past two years. When I asked for the location, the woman just ended the call! She had an English accent, not an Asian one as I expected. I called back and got the same automated message about calling again or pressing one to stop. It's clearly just cold calling and blatant breaking of every law out there!

I get calls from these lot almost every day. They say it’s about insurance, but I’ve never even been in an accident. I’ve told them loads of times I’m not interested and that I haven’t had any accidents, and I’ve asked them to stop ringing me. Yet, they keep calling, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day! I’ve blocked their number, but they just ring back using a slightly different one to dodge the block!

Honestly, there's not much we can do about these calls, they use a system that generates random numbers. The real fix lies with the government, but since it’s the UK government, don’t hold your breath. It’s pretty frustrating because it’s basically our own government dropping the ball here.
I’ve been getting these annoying calls for around three years now. It started with PPI claim scams, and now it’s shifted to accident claims. I’ve blocked every number that’s rung me, but they just keep ringing back. Proper parasites, they are.
These calls are definitely illegal, but the legal system here makes it so costly to pursue action. Plus, I reckon nearly all the phone numbers these companies use are sold to them by the likes of Facebook and Google.

They keep ringin me mobile all the time, swapping numbers each time. I had an accident about 10 years back - no harm done - but it seems the insurance firms have flogged my info to these lot. If you never agreed to anything, they’ll still say you gave the first company permission to share your info.

How is anyone supposed to stay calm when ive been getting nonstop calls for like 3 years? Ive contacted my phone company loads of times to block the numbers but they just say there's nothing they can do, its crazy. Ive blocked every number that ever rings but it just doesnt help at all.
