Got a call earlier with someone talking in an Irish accent claiming to be from an energy supplier. They started asking me stuff about how old my windows and doors were. Something about it felt off though.

The man on the line mentioned the company was based in Rochester, called "Energy-Solutions.co.uk", which fits with the 01634 area code. One crucial thing to do: make sure installers are properly registered for solar work at www.recc.org.uk/scheme/members before proceeding. He was telling me about some “passive system that also cuts your gas use” and said it pulls info from the Met Office - supposedly specific to my area. Got a call from that number earlier today. Tried ringing them back with my number hidden, but ended up with a voicemail saying extension 1000 was busy. We're on the TPS and our number's ex-directory, so no legit company should be phoning us. If they're trying to hawk solar panels, then they're definitely breaking the rules.

This whole thing isn't doing the solar sector any favours. Just got a call at half past three and all I heard was silence. Like Stuart, I tried ringing back and got extension 1000, but the mailbox was full and couldn't take any more messages. I also had a look and can’t see this number anywhere on the Micro-generation Certification Scheme. To add to that, I contacted the company linked on their website.
