SCAM ALERT. When I confronted them, they just laughed and bragged about how well off they are, claiming they’re not affected by the cost of living crisis and even bought a brand new BMW M3 - all because no one is stopping them. 🤬 The Police told me to spread the word on social media and get as many people as possible to share it, so more folks know what to watch out for with these scams. Apparently, they've stolen hundreds of thousands of pounds in just the last month alone, the Police said.

Insulation scam alert! A woman called asking how old my loft insulation was, saying I could get a grant. Received a phone call from a woman claiming to be representing Loft Survey Scotland. Strange thing is, there doesn't seem to be any record of such a company existing.
She was looking to gather information about the age of my insulation, suggesting that I may be eligible for a grant to have it replaced.
Just so you know, in Scotland, the only legitimate scheme available for insulation replacement is managed by the Scottish Government in partnership with Heat Pump installation. Furthermore, this particular scheme is subject to means testing.
When I requested a callback number, the woman abruptly ended the call.
Please exercise caution and stay away from individuals involved in such deceptive practices.
