I could hear a lot of chatter in the background when I answered the phone. The person on the line asked for "Mr or Mrs *my surname*". Naturally, I inquired about who was calling, and they mentioned something about a Health & Safety inspection concerning the loft insulation. Sounded completely made up to me! I informed them that they had the wrong number and requested they take my details out of their database. It’s clearly a blatant attempt at data phishing.

I don’t normally pick up unknown numbers but this time I did just to see who it was. There was loads of noise in the background and I caught an Asian accent as well. I figured what was going on and quickly ended the call before anyone could speak to me.

This bloke refused to say who he was unless I first told him who I was. I told him the person he wanted was busy in a meeting (which wasn’t true) and asked who was calling me to bother me. He said he didn’t like how I spoke to him and that a manager would be in touch. I knew his Glaswegian accent from an earlier call. Didn’t give him any info at all. Really cheeky and annoying caller, felt like a proper intrusion. Anyone ringing should expect to say who they are when asked nicely.

01415010920 No firm or who was calling. They had my address and name. Spoke about loft insulation and some Health and Safety risks, promised to send info when I asked for more on the H&S issues. Looked on the HSE website but found nothing about dangers with fibreglass like the caller hinted at. Feels like a scam, marked as risky since it messes with H&S stuff.

This number has been ringing me all week, each time saying they won’t ring again... but they always do! Sounds like a scam from some call centre in Glasgow. They won’t even give an address. Today they tried with a loft insulation survey - what a joke! Before that, they were on about pensions, double glazing, solar panels, all sorts. Since they’re from Glasgow, I just told them to get lost.
