Got a call on Bank Holiday Monday from someone claiming to be HMRC. They said I’m going to be prosecuted for not responding to their letters and told me to ring them back. Really annoyed about the timing!

Got a call claiming it was from BT, but as soon as I asked what they wanted, they just cut off. When I dialled the number back, it goes straight into this robotic message supposedly from BT. It tells you to press 1 to talk to someone or 2 to stop calls, but whichever you choose, it just ends with a goodbye and hangs up. Proper dodgy lot trying to con folks out of their hard earned cash!

Got a call from this number claiming to be from my network, EE. Thing is, I don't even use EE! I just changed my provider but hadn't confirmed anything yet. Definitely feels like spam to me.

Got a call from a bloke who said he was from Three. He wanted to find out what kind of mobile I had and whether it was on a contract or not.

Somebody rang from a number claiming to be O2 with a discount offer. When I told them I wasn’t interested, they started cursing and then just cut me off. Proper rude!

He told me there had been a power outage around here.

I got a call from this number and when I answered, I said "Hi" like 7 times but there was just silence on the other end. Eventually, I gave up and blocked the number using True Caller.

Got a call from 0141 4890987, which I believe is somewhere in Glasgow. When I picked up, they just ended the call straight away. Seems like a typical spam call to me. Be careful and don’t bother calling it back.

Got a call from someone saying they were from O2, but their English was awful and they sounded really pushy. They clearly weren’t legit. I told them off quite sharply, but now I’m getting calls from loads of different numbers. Definitely a scam, very annoying!

I got a voicemail about a power outage in my neighbourhood, explaining the reason and what the engineers are doing to fix it. I signed up to get updates like this, so it was pretty helpful.
