This number is definitely not a legitimate one from Glasgow, as there’s simply no area code for that region. It’s clear that this is a scam, with the caller purporting to be from SES Energy. I’ve been bombarded by this number and a few others for the past month, and it’s truly infuriating. When I pick up, I suggest you try saying something along the lines of, “This is the police; your conversation is being recorded.” These callers are an absolute nuisance. It seems likely that if you've had conversations with your energy provider, especially with those outsourced in places like Africa or India, there’s a chance your personal information has been compromised and sold off. Shockingly, they even knew my name and address without me ever disclosing it-just goes to show how my details might have been obtained from those phone representatives at my own energy company. I can’t stress enough how often I’ve urged my energy provider to tackle this issue directly in those overseas operations!
