I got a really pushy phone call from someone claiming to be Matthew. He said he was ringing about an event we both supposedly attended, but he mixed up the city and shortened the MD's name in a way no one in the office ever does. He insisted he'd been told to contact me by the MD, which was complete rubbish. He kept trying to trip me up with questions but clearly wasn’t paying attention to my answers. When I phoned back to complain, the caller just went quiet and hung up.

I got a call from some lot trying to flog IT gear they clearly haven't got. Looks like a classic scam to me.
