Picked up the phone and got stuck listening to the most awful sax noise ever, like some dreadful hold music. They said it was about a "personal issue" and kept going on about a letter I was supposed to have gotten - haven’t seen anything though. Wouldn’t even say who they were working for! Ended up telling them off pretty sharpish, basically told them where to go! Total scam, no doubt about it!

I've received a few calls from this number, and it's clear it's a scam. The sound quality is dreadful, and the caller seems rather elusive. They get rather flustered when I mention I'm a former HMRC Revenue Officer and that I’m recording the conversation. Definitely a scam-stay cautious!

I started getting texts on my phone claiming to be from the DVLA, asking for my full name, address, how long I’d been there, and even old addresses, emails, landlines and mobile numbers. When I said no, they got really aggressive, saying I owed them money and tried to set up a payment plan, even asking for my bank details. I blocked their number on my mobile, but now they’re ringing my landline. Luckily, I’m cancelling that number in a couple weeks so they won’t be able to reach me anymore. Be careful, I reckon these lot could be unsafe.

Back in January, I got a letter from this outfit saying I owed £80 to the DVLA. I was really suspicious since I pay my vehicle tax by direct debit. I tried reaching out to them but couldn’t get anyone on the phone, and their website was so confusing it felt like solving a puzzle. Just now, I got a call from them but didn’t pick up. Scams like this are all over the place nowadays, and it’s tough enough earning cash without people trying to nick it from you openly.

I recently had dealings with a real outfit known as Past Due Credit Solutions (PDCS), and I must say, they’ve been quite resourceful in managing debts owed to HMRC. The team there is remarkably approachable and eager to assist, offering a variety of payment arrangements to suit one's circumstances. Alternatively, if it’s preferable, you can sort out any dues straight with HMRC as well.

I've been getting some rather persistent letters from a company named Past Due Credit Solutions, located at 1 Blair Court, North Avenue, in Clydebank Business Park, Glasgow, G81 2LA. They’re insisting that I pay an HMRC bill totalling £120.89. At first glance, the letter seems quite official, which adds to its purported authenticity. However, I would advise against letting this fool you. I got in touch with HMRC directly, and they assured me that it is indeed a scam. Additionally, I've stumbled upon multiple reports concerning the phone number 0141 479 0021; it appears to be linked to a rather concerning con scheme. I received a rather unsettling automated call, featuring a woman's voice that claimed to have an "urgent message" for one of my previous clients - she even mentioned their full name. The whole message was delivered at breakneck speed, so I barely had a moment to jot it down. It strikes me as odd that if this message were genuinely important, they would reach out in such a haphazard manner. It’s a bit concerning to think that personal information is floating around like that, likely in a nefarious context. I ended up using the 1471 service to track down the number.

I've gotten a few texts from these folks saying they're trying to reach me about a late payment, but they never mention what the payment is for or why it's overdue. Every time, they ask for stuff like my personal info, home address, email, and phone number. I always reply the same way, saying I don’t share personal details online, and they should either send me an email or a letter. I also tell them that if there really was a late payment, they’d already have all the details, so there’s no need to ask me for that info.
