I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be a “senior technician” affiliated with BT’s support team. He asserted that our IP address had been jeopardised, but it soon became evident that he was actually attempting to gain unauthorised access to my computer. Best to steer clear of this chap!

Someone called saying they were from BT about my broadband being hacked. Their accent was really thick and hard to get. They also sent an email that looked proper, from [email protected], with what I think was a PIN to let them access my computer remotely. Since I don’t even have a BT account, I just ended the call straight away.
