2 yearsPicked up the phone and there was what sounded like a call centre in the background, then some sort of foreign voice saying "Hello" before they just hung up. Lately, I've been getting loads of calls with silence or weird background noises, so this felt like one of those scam calls. I blocked the number straight away since a proper caller would have called again or actually talked.2 yearsGot a call earlier today, 5th Sept, from an Asian bloke saying my Sky insurance had run out, even though I’d already paid for a year. He then said they were doing a special deal for the next 12 months because apparently old folks had been complaining about the price. Tried explaining nicely that I rent the gear from Sky and they sort out any faults, like they told me when I signed up years ago. After that, I told the man I was done with the call - smelled like a scam.Sky2 yearsI didn’t pick up when this number rang, just let it ring out to voicemail. Nothing was left in my messages though, which makes me pretty sure it was some kind of scam, especially after checking the comments here where others mentioned the same thing.2 yearsGot a call from SKY claiming I needed to renew some insurance, which I don’t even have. Definitely a scam.2 yearsGot a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying I needed to sort out my TV insurance direct debit through some firm named Sky Insured. I said I didn’t have any direct debit set up with them, but he kept on saying I was paying it all along. I told him he probably dialled the wrong number and then ended the call.Sky Insured2 yearsGot a call today, 5th September, around 2:50pm. Didn’t bother leaving a voicemail when it went to my answering machine. Quite irritating really.2 yearsI got a call from an Asian chap, his accent was a bit tricky to catch. He claimed he was with Sky and said my contract ended today. When I asked if I could call back later, he said the offer, £90 for a year, wouldn’t be held open. Felt a bit pushy, so I just said no.Sky2 yearsWe're registered with TPS, but these calls still come through. I looked up the number and it turned out to be some sort of TV insurance scam. I've gone ahead and blocked it now.Telephone Preference Service2 yearsGot a call from a bloke saying he was Oliver, trying to sell me TV insurance. Total rip-off, so I just blocked the number straight away.Oliver2 yearsGot a call about renewing some kind of warranty for a TV they claimed I bought last September. Told them right away I didn’t buy any TV then. They kept pushing, saying I had to renew the cover and asked for my bank info. Ended up just hanging up on them.2 yearsGot a call from someone named "Helen" claiming she was calling on behalf of Sky. I just ended the call straight away.HelenSky2 yearsI got a call from a number I didn’t recognise and since I was waiting for an important call, I thought it might be it. But once I picked up, I had no clue who it was and ended up hanging up straight away.2 yearsHad a call and couldn’t make out a single word, pretty sure it was some kinda scam.Submit Your Own Report (0141 474 7895)
