Got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying, 'Hello, this is the road accidents department.' I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

Got a cheerful woman on the phone chat about some accident I supposedly had. When I said it was against GDPR to keep my info, I pressed her for who gave it to them and the phone number they used. She told me to wait a moment, but then went silent. Pretty obvious the number she'd give would be dodgy, so I didn’t stick around.

01414737336 - rang me saying they were from Claims Direct about a car crash I was meant to be in. I told them I wasn’t involved in any accident and they just ended the call. That was so disrespectful! I really can’t stand these firms, especially when their reps just drop the call if you don’t give them the answer they want. Definitely block this number and don’t bother answering it again.

So this one time I accidentally replied to a call about a "bad accident" I supposedly had. I was like, "Oh you mean that bad accident? Sure, list your injuries." Then I said, "Number one, I was decapitated," and there was a pause. The guy suddenly shouted, "F### off, you’re having me on!" I just said, "How’s that for ya?" and hung up. Was chuckling for ages after that! Anyone else tried something like this? 😂😂

The woman told me they were from a company dealing with car accidents, regarding the crash I supposedly had. I asked her when the accident happened, and she just said oh, it was a while back, can't recall the exact date but dont worry, it wasnt your fault! I politely told her to take my number off their list and then blocked the caller.

The first time they rang, the woman wouldn't say what company she was with but claimed I'd been in a car crash. Then the second time, some bloke said he was from Claims Direct and it was about a crash I supposedly had. Problem is, I don’t even have a car.

I answered the call but there was no one speaking, just silence. After reading these remarks, I’m glad I wasn’t bothered by anything serious. I’m based in Edinburgh but the number shows up as Glasgow which makes it a bit tricky, might have been someone trying to reach me about something important. Really irritating.

They called to confirm my life insurance details and make sure my family would get paid out properly when needed. I told the person I was fine with how things were, but then he started getting really pushy and annoying, so I ended the call. Then they called me again about an hour later from a blocked number!

Got a call from LifeWanted trying to see if I’d been mis-sold a life insurance policy. Guy was pretty rude as soon as I told him I wasn’t giving any details. I’ve had calls from them before using other numbers, which he denied, but honestly, every time I say no to sharing who my insurer is, they get quite pushy and unfriendly.

some guy just asked if I had a life insurance policy, and when I asked why, he just rambled on. turned out he was trying to see if I’d been sold a dodgy insurance deal. feels like the new ppi nonsense. got a call out of the blue, really annoying.
