Right, I finally managed to get a number from Scottish Power after reaching out - turns out it’s from activo doing these calls. The person I spoke to acted like they had no clue why the calls just drop when you pick up, and I’ve been getting two or three daily. If you want to give it a go and try to stop it, ring 0345 241 2585. Didn’t feel very useful, but they promised to take my number off their list. Here’s hoping it works.

Scottish Power keep ringing me non stop about putting in smart meters. I’ve told them loads of times I’m not interested and if that ever changes, I’ll get in touch myself. But they just won’t stop. They’ve called like 4 or 5 times every single day, never leaving a voicemail, so the only way to find out who it is is to search the number online. Honestly, I’m done with them now and wouldn’t suggest anyone use them. I’ve already switched to a different provider.

Someone pretending to be from a company called Activor contacted me, saying they were working with Scottish Power to promote smart meters. Scottish Power have confirmed this is a fraud. These scammers try to get personal details so they can ring back later pretending to be from a rival firm offering better prices. Apparently, they sometimes say they’re from other firms like British Gas too. Scottish Power said once the caller even struggled to name a company the person actually uses after a few tries. Watch out for these dodgy calls!!

Someone called me from 01414658631 but I didn’t pick up. The person on the line kept repeating, “Is anyone there?” I just stayed quiet. Then they asked for Mr Innes, but I didn’t respond and the caller just ended the call.

They keep ringing me at all hours, honestly can’t catch a break. It’s that damn Scottish Power again, pushing to fit a smart meter even though i've made it clear I’m not interested. Just can’t be bothered to go through the hassle of switching providers or making another complaint call, so I’m just blocking the number on my phone now.

I keep getting calls from Scottish Power pretty much all day and into the evening. They’re also sending texts about putting in a smart meter. It’s honestly ridiculous... if this doesn’t stop soon, I’ll have no choice but to report them to Ofgem.

I've been getting quite a few calls that just drop off after about 6 or 8 rings, which matches how long my answerphone waits before picking up since I have call screening on. Being ex-directory, I hardly ever get unsolicited marketing calls, so this is pretty frustrating. I'm guessing it might be from some energy company trying to get through.

I keep getting calls from Scottish Power about fitting a smart meter, even though I’m already a customer. It’s ridiculous how clueless their systems are. I’ve told them loads of times that the smart meter won’t even connect properly in my village, but they just won’t stop bugging me. Their billing is pretty harsh too, so it’s no wonder I decided to switch suppliers. Now this lot keeps ringing me up nonstop. If they don’t drop it soon, I’m going to report them to Ofgem since they clearly have a big record on Scottish Power. Their Glasgow office number is 0141 331 2678.
