I had a rather unsettling experience when I inquired about some deductions on my bank statement. The chap on the other end of the line abruptly shifted the conversation to my mortgage repayments. The moment I probed further about how he acquired those details, he promptly cut off the call. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

Got a call from them yesterday. Told them to take my number off their list. They said they would. Then guess what? They called again today. I said hello like 4 times and then they just hung up. Now they’re definitely blocked!

A guy with an Asian accent rang me and immediately said my full name, then wanted me to verify my postcode. When I asked what for, he asked if I was between 40 and 80 years old, and when I pressed him more, he said he was calling from M&S and just hung up. Seemed really dodgy to me. I’ve blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from an Asian guy asking if he was talking to Mrs XXX. I was driving and on hands-free so I just said yes. He then asked for the postcode, I said XXX. When he asked why, I said I didn’t know. Bit sketchy, honestly! I only just bought tickets from Ticketmaster and then get this call soon after… feels a bit suspicious to me?

Someone sure wants to get in touch! Got calls from the same number 3 times in one day and I’m just blocking it now. Whether it’s Amazon, Nationwide, or Hotpoint, if I don’t recognise the number, I’m not picking up. When I looked up the number, Google showed it’s been looked up over 13,000 times already. Honestly, this needs to be sorted out.

Just got a call from an Asian guy about 5 mins ago. He goes: am I talking to Mrs --------? I said: who's this? Then he said he's from Nationwide. I just hung up straight away!!!!!

Just got a call at about 10.50 this morning. A guy with an Asian accent asked if I was Mr #### and if my postcode was ####. When I asked what he wanted, he replied, "Why are you so f##king scared?" I told him a few things I’m not putting here and he ended the call. Same lot rang from a mobile last weekend too.

Got a call from this number earlier. The standard spiel, claimed to be from Nationwide. When I asked her to confirm my name, she only knew an old postcode from about 10 years back. When I pressed her about who they truly were, the woman, who sounded Asian, just kept telling me to "shut up, shut up". With all the tech nowadays that should make tracking these muppets easy, why is nothing ever done to stop these total f■■king idiots?

I've had this call from an Asian chap who says he's representing PCC. It's now the third occasion I've been bothered by him. Definitely seems like a shady character, if you ask me... Best to just hang up and put a block on that number. I honestly can't fathom how these muppets manage to rest easy at night, can you?

Absolutely dreadful experience, much like those mentioned previously. I was in the midst of my work when they managed to catch me off guard; I reluctantly confirmed I was on the line, and then, they promptly disconnected. It really does raise the blood pressure! Why on earth are these dubious calls not being clamped down on by the authorities if they're clearly scams? What’s the fraud squad doing about it? I tried returning the call and just got a silent line. It’s infuriating!

Some chap rang me and checked my name and postcode. He inquired whether I was over 51 and how my washing machine was faring. I was bracing myself for a sales pitch, but to my surprise, he simply cut the call. I believe he mentioned his name was Alex. Quite odd, really!

I received a call from an Asian gentleman purporting to be from Nationwide around 10:10 on a Saturday morning. He requested I verify my name, postcode, and age category. When I inquired if this was regarding PPI, he abruptly ended the call. I strongly advise against returning the call. Most banks have ceased direct outreach to their clients these days. My usual response is to ask, "What’s your name and why do you need my details?"

Got a ring from a woman with an Asian accent just now, she already had my name and postcode. She kept probing if I was older than 51, so I asked her why she wanted to know and who she actually was. She said something about my Hotpoint washing machine and again asked if I was over 51. I cheekily asked if she was that age herself, and she laughed saying yes. Told her nicely next time she should start by saying her name and where she’s calling from before launching into questions, then I ended the call.

I just got a phone call from this number, even though I'm on the Telephone Preference Service list. When I inquired about who was calling, the person abruptly ended the call. I tried ringing the number again but was left hanging on the line for three minutes with no response, so I eventually gave up. Quite frustrating!
