I received a call from this number on the 8th of March, 2017, around half past eleven in the morning. The individual on the other end introduced himself as Josh and alleged that my computer had been compromised. He requested that I simultaneously press the 'Windows' key and 'R'. He further stated that he was representing Microsoft's Technical Support. I, however, prompted him to verify his identity and provide the phone number from which he was ringing. He reiterated that he was Josh from Microsoft Technical Support and gave me the number 0141 4164848, which upon further scrutiny, traced back to a Glasgow area code. When I probed him further for the address he was based at, he abruptly terminated the call. His accent was distinctly Indian, and his English appeared somewhat lacking. Upon attempting to call back, I was met with the message stating that the number dialled was unrecognised... Clearly, this was a scam. Consider yourselves forewarned!

I’m not really sure what to make of it; they rang me twice and even left a rather irritating voicemail, but I didn’t pick up.
