I received a rather dubious call asking for my banking details under the pretext of refunding so-called bank charges spanning the last decade. The individual on the other end, who introduced himself as Adam Smith, instructed me to ring him back. It turns out, this call was made from a call centre based in India, which raises serious suspicions. I am convinced this is a scam, so I urge anyone who gets a call from this number to refrain from sharing any personal information. Instead, do make sure to report it to the Trading Standards Institute immediately, as these individuals seem to be well aware of their deceitful activities.
