Today i got a call from 0141 413 2679 claiming to be from hmce saying i had a warrant out for me. They asked me to press 1 but i just hung up straight away. I then contacted the fraud squad and they told me its a major scam going around at the moment.

Got a call saying if I dont press one I'll be arrested for HMRC fraud in my name - honestly disgusting! Loads of folks will probably fall for this. Hope these scammers get what they deserve soon.

Somehow they've got hold of my personal number and work email, trying to pitch some software. Refuse to say where they got my info from.

They rang but didn’t bother leaving a message, so I’m guessing it wasn’t anything urgent. Don’t know the number at all, so it’s probably just some annoying telemarketer or maybe a typical scam. I’ve added the number to my block list now.
