This number has called me loads of times, sometimes it’s a man, other times a woman with an Asian accent. I already made it clear we’re not interested. They phoned early this morning around 7:30, I told them to piss off, but they kept calling all afternoon. Eventually the bloke got really rude and started threatening us, saying he’d keep ringing no matter what. He kept trying to get through so many times we had to just switch the phone off.

Had this annoying woman from Asia call me two days running about some computer licence. She was so rubbish, she didn’t even try to sound legit. Asked to chat to her supervisor and he was just as clueless as she was - both clearly tryna scam me. You’d think they’d actually stick to the same story and get their facts straight, but nope, total mess! Feel bad for anyone who actually falls for this. I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from DNS servers. He told me my computer was at risk and could be shut down unless I let him help. Said it wouldn't cost me a penny and he’d provide a code to fix it. Then he asked me to type www.123rescue.com into my computer. At that point, I’d had enough nonsense and just hung up. Almost immediately, the phone rang again from the same number, but I let it go to voicemail. Of course, I’ve blocked the number since then. I'm just waiting for the next time some Asian guy tries to sort out my imaginary computer issue on my non-existent Windows PC.

Got a call from this number at 5:35pm today - as soon as I picked up, the caller just hung up. Earlier this week, I've had two more calls from the same number. Both times the caller had an Asian accent and claimed to be from some computer licensing company. The first one said my computer was caught doing illegal stuff and I needed to note down a new licence number or something. I pretended to write it down then told him my computer warned me the call was dodgy. He didn't back off though, so I ended the call. The second time it was a woman, but I kept the call really brief!

Then he read out a number and said I should log on to check if it matched. Fortunately, I couldn’t log in, and he kept saying maybe my caps lock was on. I told him I’d take the laptop to the police in the morning because I suspected a scam. That’s when he raised his voice and insisted he wasn’t a scammer since he gave me his name and workplace. Got a call from an Asian guy asking for my hubby. I said he wasn’t around and asked what the call was about. Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming to be from "DNS" saying my computer was about to get switched off, but as soon as I asked a few questions he just ended the call.

Some guy with an Indian accent rang me, claiming he was calling about my computer's licence which he said was about to expire and get disabled the next day. When I asked how exactly he’d manage to do that, he said he had my licence number and could just shut it off. I then asked if they wanted payment and he said no, but was surprised I wasn’t worried about it being turned off. I told him he was having me on, got the place he said he was calling from - something in Cambridge - and said I’d report him for fraud before hanging up. These sorts of calls are such a nuisance. Imagine if an elderly person got caught out by this - could be really stressful for them and who knows what sort of trouble might follow.

A bloke rang from that number and when I said I couldn’t chat to the person he mentioned, he said it’s not against the law to speak to them!! I told him I look after her and he was quite cheeky, telling me 'just tell Mrs ####### (the name he gave) that we’re shutting down her computer right now'!! Which is funny coz she hasn’t got a computer at all. Got loads of calls from that number - can’t any organisation put an end to this?

Got a call from this number just now. No one spoke, so I ended up hanging up. Feels like there’s not much you can do to block these sorts of calls. I sometimes think if millions of us got rid of our landlines, maybe the phone companies would stop being so indifferent. Luckily, I've got a mobile and honestly, I could do without the landline quite easily.

Keep getting calls saying they’re gonna shut down our Microsoft account. Ringing at 8:30 this morning again. Proper fed up with it. Anyone know what we can do about this???

Got a call around 6 this evening, which was a bit unusual compared to the usual ones. They asked to speak with my husband. When I asked why, they mentioned something about some systems shutting down. I just ended the call and looked up the number afterwards.

This is like the third time they've called: rang at 11:49 am on 28 November 2016 - bloke was from 'Computer Licensing'. I told them we've had loads of calls already and we want them to stop ringing us. The whole self-regulation thing with the UK TPS clearly doesn’t do much.

Got a call from a bloke with a Scottish accent, mentioned something about the 'licensing department'. Had a right chuckle, told him he was a con artist and to take my number off their list. Bit dodgy that he knew my name though, wonder where he got that from???

Honestly, the folks using this number are a right pain and proper disgrace, they should be nicked and slapped with a decent fine for being so abusive. Since getting caller ID, I just ignore it, but I worry about my dad who just lost his wife and is getting hassled too. Maybe the cops would do us all a favour if they actually went after these sorts instead of faffing about. We’d all rate them a lot more then.

Signal was rubbish but that number has rung silent before. Same old rubbish about online risks, hand over access / car keys / dosh / stuff / even their daughters or something. Makes me wonder why this number hasn't been shut down or the callers caught & handed over to the authorities for some kind of terrorism funding or summat.

Got a call on my landline from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming that bogus emails were being sent out in my wife’s name, asking for donations. He was really pushy and said if I didn’t give him remote access to my PC, he’d have no choice but to ‘kill’ the machine to stop the scam emails. While I was trying to figure out who he was, my daughter quickly looked up a few things on her phone. The caller got crankier the longer we talked and kept insisting I hit the Windows key plus R to open a little box, then typed www.rescue.com into it, saying it was necessary. After entering a six-digit code he gave me, my daughter spotted some scam warnings connected to the 0141 number he was calling from, so I just ended the call. I reckon older people, especially those not confident with computers, might fall for this aggressive tactic because it’s scary to think your computer could be permanently ‘shut down’ like that.

They’ve been ringing me every single day for the past fortnight but always hang up as soon as I pick up. Is there any way to block these calls? Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming my licence had run out and my PC would stop working. I asked where he was calling from, and he said '21 Station Road Cambridge' - which is apparently a real Microsoft location. He wanted to access my computer remotely. I left him chatting for about 10 minutes before telling him he was talking nonsense and there was no way I'd let him near my PC. Once I mentioned I work in IT and am an IT manager (which is true), he quickly ended the call.

Just got a call from a girl with an Asian accent on this number, wanting to talk to my wife. How on earth did she get hold of our name and number? I told her I was suspicious and she then gave me a totally different number - 02078621703 - claiming it was from Digital Network Server at 21 Station Road, Cambridge. That address and number are clearly fake - Cambridge doesn’t even have a 0207 area code! When I questioned her about this, she said it’s an internet line connected to their London office. Seems dodgy to me.

Then, a different person rang today, and I asked him to explain the security threat to my computer so I could report it to the police. Guess what? He ended up hanging up on me too.

This number has been pestering me every few days now. I’ve told them straight up I’m onto their scam and to take me off their list, but the calls keep coming. Today I played along a bit - sounded like a lady with a strong Japanese or Chinese accent, but her English wasn’t great. Eventually I got fed up and hung up, then reported them to the Telephone Preference Service (I’m already signed up). I’m not holding my breath that it’ll do much, but if more people did this, maybe it’d help. The telecom companies really need to be pushed by the government to tackle these scammers properly, but it’s on us to keep up the pressure. I like to think I’m pretty savvy, but anyone can get caught out, and many folks we care about might be more vulnerable.

They’d ring me nearly every single day before I got myself a BT call blocker - totally changed the game. The TPS list never really helped me much. Now, my phone only buzzes when it’s someone I actually know, which has made things a lot quieter. Honestly, sometimes I kinda miss getting the chance to shout at these idiots. They’d always hassle my poor old dad and it really upset him.

Over the past week, this number kept buzzing my phone. I looked it up online and saw it was likely a scam. When I finally picked up, I asked if they were calling from 01414110011. The lady, who sounded like she was from Asia, seemed unsure. I didn’t hold back and told her straight up that they were scammers and to quit calling me. She kept denying it but couldn’t handle the rapid-fire questions I threw at her and ended up hanging up. Haven't had any calls from them since.
