Phone number ☎️ 01414110011 👆 is reported as a persistent and aggressive scam operation targeting UK residents, often using an Asian-accented caller who claims to be from a computer licensing or support department. Callers falsely warn of expired computer licences, hacking, or illegal activity on the victim’s device, attempting to induce panic and gain remote access or personal details. They frequently spoof legitimate-sounding company names and addresses, but refuse to provide verifiable contact information. Many complain about repeated calls day and night, abusive behaviour, and harassment that ignores Telephone Preference Service registrations. The scam causes distress, especially among elderly or vulnerable individuals. Call recipients strongly advise not engaging, sharing personal details, or allowing remote access, and recommend blocking the number and reporting the incidents to relevant authorities.

I've received countless calls from this number, featuring a caller who sounds like they could be from an Asian background. Despite explaining multiple times that we're not interested in their offer, they called at 7:30 this morning, and I firmly asked them to leave us alone. To my annoyance, they persisted by ringing back throughout the afternoon, and it escalated to the point where the caller became quite aggressive and started making threats, insisting they wouldn’t cease contacting us. In the end, we had to disconnect the phone to avoid further interruptions!

Had this annoying woman from Asia call me two days running about some computer licence. She was so rubbish, she didn’t even try to sound legit. Asked to chat to her supervisor and he was just as clueless as she was - both clearly tryna scam me. You’d think they’d actually stick to the same story and get their facts straight, but nope, total mess! Feel bad for anyone who actually falls for this. Honestly, their phone number should be blocked. They really need to find proper work and stop wasting people’s time with these scams. Get a grip!

I received a call from a chap with an Indian accent claiming to be from "The Computer Network." He ominously announced that he was about to shut down my computer. I quickly retorted, "Absolutely not," and then he promptly terminated the call.

I keep receiving nonstop calls from this number and, not recognising it, I decided to do a bit of sleuthing. Turns out, it’s just another scam! It’s baffling how these crooks manage to slip through all our security measures, isn’t it? Best to steer clear and definitely don’t waste your time responding to them!

I received a rather dubious call from a gentleman who had a distinct Asian accent. He claimed to be affiliated with DNS servers and insisted that my computer had been compromised. According to him, unless I accepted his assistance, my device would be shut down. His pitch was that there would be no financial implications for me and he could provide me with a code to rectify the issue. He then instructed me to visit www.123rescue.com. At that point, I’d had enough of the conversation and decided to hang up. Barely a minute later, the same number called again, which I let ring through to voicemail. Naturally, I've since blocked the number and I’m now bracing myself for the next call from another person claiming they can resolve my imaginary computer woes on a Windows PC that I don’t even own!

Got a call sayin there’s an issue with my Windows licence. I told them I don’t even own a Windows PC, and they switched to say it’s a software problem. I just called them out as scammers and told them to jog on. What a waste of time. Someone at Ofcom needs to sort this out, or is it more like Off Con these days?!

Who exactly hands out these phone numbers to scammers and firms? It’s about time Ofcom checked what these numbers are gonna be used for before giving them out. We should put a stop to this nonsense right from the beginning.

I've received multiple calls from this number, and they keep threatening to disable my computer. I can only imagine how upsetting this must be for elderly individuals who might be on their own. Got a call from an Asian woman with a very English name, claimed she was from DNS. She asked for my husband, who passed away nearly two years ago, which really upset me. Same here, seems like their service provider licence expired or something. ICO TPP and BT cant seem to track em down. Now theyve come up with a new trick to get past BTs call blocks and ring straight through to the answerphone.

Got a call from this number at 5:35pm today - as soon as I picked up, the caller just hung up. Earlier this week, I've had two more calls from the same number. Both times the caller had an Asian accent and claimed to be from some computer licensing company. The first one said my computer was caught doing illegal stuff and I needed to note down a new licence number or something. I pretended to write it down then told him my computer warned me the call was dodgy. He didn't back off though, so I ended the call. The second time it was a woman, but I kept the call really brief!

Honestly, it seems far more probable they’d just load it up with their own malware instead. The next time they ring me, I’ll make sure to have a recording device at the ready!

I just received a call from someone claiming to be Peter Emmanuel, who insisted that my computer had apparently been used to send out spam emails. I told him I hardly ever use it! He then proceeded to provide me with a number and urged me to check it against what was on my laptop. Fortunately, I couldn’t access my computer at the time. He kept insisting that my caps lock must be activated. I told him I would report this to the police in the morning because I suspected he was trying to scam me. He became rather aggressive, asserting that it was perfectly legitimate since he had shared his name and workplace. I’m curious, what exactly do these people stand to gain from such tactics?

I just received a rather unexpected phone call from a chap named Justin, who appeared to be from India. He mentioned something about shutting down my laptop, to which I informed him that it was, in fact, already switched off! His reaction was quite shocking; he became rather aggressive and unpleasant.

I recently received a rather unpleasant phone call from a gentleman with an Indian accent. He was extremely rude, even threatening to sever my connection to the computer. When I requested his extension number, he refused, clearly aware that it was a scam. I found myself relishing the back-and-forth with him, and the moment I mentioned I was recording our conversation for the authorities, he abruptly cut the line! What a cheek!

I had a rather annoying experience with a chap from India who kept badgering me about spam emails from my account. I was quite persistent in telling him to bugger off, but he had the audacity to claim he could shut down my computer. I firmly told him to stop calling this number and hung up. Almost instantly, he rang me again, asking who I was when he was the one who called! I reiterated that I hadn’t called him and told him in no uncertain terms to leave me be before hanging up again. Well, wouldn't you know it, he tried calling once more, and I warned him that if he didn't cease his calls, I'd be forced to contact the authorities. Thankfully, I haven’t had the misfortune of hearing from him since.

Received a call today that clearly reeks of a scam. I may be a bit on the older side, but I'm quite clued up about what's happening these days. Thankfully, I'm not easily fooled. While I understand that international calls can be quite difficult to prevent, it baffles me that something originating from Glasgow remains operational. Surely, they ought to be able to shut this down!

I recently received a rather dubious call from a gentleman claiming to be from a firm concerning computer licenses. He informed me that my licence was on the verge of expiry and would be terminated the very next day. I inquired how exactly they intended to carry this out, and he mentioned having my computer's licence number in his possession. When I probed about any fees involved, he insisted they weren’t after any money, questioning why I wasn’t concerned about the impending shutdown. I firmly told him that I wasn’t born yesterday, noted down the address he provided as being from Cambridge, and made it clear that I would be reporting this fraudulent tactic. I then ended the call. Honestly, these scammers are a real nuisance! One can only imagine how alarmed elderly or vulnerable individuals might feel in such situations; it could create unnecessary stress and who knows what else they might do.

Luckily, I've got a mobile and honestly, I could do without the landline quite easily.

I received a rather peculiar call around 6 in the evening today. It was quite unlike the usual ones. The caller asked to speak to my husband, which I found a tad odd. Honestly, the folks using this number are a right pain and proper disgrace, they should be nicked and slapped with a decent fine for being so abusive. Since getting caller ID, I just ignore it, but I worry about my dad who just lost his wife and is getting hassled too. Maybe the cops would do us all a favour if they actually went after these sorts instead of faffing about. We’d all rate them a lot more then.

Signal was rubbish but that number has rung silent before. Same old rubbish about online risks, hand over access / car keys / dosh / stuff / even their daughters or something. Makes me wonder why this number hasn't been shut down or the callers caught & handed over to the authorities for some kind of terrorism funding or summat.

Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming my licence had run out and my PC would stop working. I told her I was suspicious and she then gave me a totally different number - 02078621703 - claiming it was from Digital Network Server at 21 Station Road, Cambridge. That address and number are clearly fake - Cambridge doesn’t even have a 0207 area code! When I questioned her about this, she said it’s an internet line connected to their London office. Absolutely, they ring me daily, but I’ve got myself a BT call blocker, and it's been a game changer. The Telephone Preference Service didn’t really cut it for me before. Now, my phone only chimes for numbers I recognise, which has made things so much calmer. This number has been pestering me relentlessly for the past week. After doing a bit of digging online, it became clear it was all a ruse. So, I figured it was about time to pick up the phone and share my thoughts. When I inquired if she was calling from 01414110011, the woman on the other end, who had a distinctly Asian accent, seemed completely baffled. I let her have it, reiterating that they were indeed fraudsters and that they needed to cease with the incessant calls. I have been inundated with calls from this number every single day. Today, I caved and answered, only to be greeted by an Asian gentleman spinning an elaborate tale about how my computer and phone had been hacked. He went on about shady characters supposedly using my name to distribute illegal videos. The chap even claimed they could disable my computer and wanted to install some dodgy software to ‘secure’ it. I told him that my devices are well-protected and promptly hung up. It’s clearly a scam! I had a chuckle at how they adopt such quintessentially British names like Fred Smith or the like.
