3 yearsI received a call claiming to be from Visa, notifying me that a significant sum had been charged to my account, particularly for an Amazon purchase and another transaction. They referred to it as suspicious activity. The caller instructed me to press 2 if I didn't recognise the transactions, and that led me to speak with a woman-she seemed to have an Asian accent and claimed she was part of the Visa helpline. While I was chatting with her, I was also perusing my banking app, and to my relief, everything appeared to be in order, so I opted to freeze my account just in case. When I asked her for her name, she replied she was with Visa Direct, but I clarified that I wanted to know her personal name. At that point, she abruptly cut me off with a busy tone.
