So it seems the pension folks were merely ringing to confirm some information. Initially, I mistook it for a cold call and gave the chap a bit of a grilling. After all, it had been some time since I expressed any interest, so I had completely forgotten about it!

I received a jolly old phone call from them last Thursday and then another one today. It left me feeling a bit irked and rather puzzled, as they seemed to have all my information at their fingertips. After a chinwag with the chap on the line, it appears they're known as 'Midas Partners'. When I voiced my annoyance about their call, he clarified that they weren't cold calling me; rather, they were merely 'following up on the interest' I'd shown online. Upon doing a bit of sleuthing, it turns out my wife had been scouring the internet for details on my neglected old pensions! So it seems they're just conducting a complimentary review of pensions and whatnot. Let’s see how it pans out! ;)
