2 yearsGot a voicemail from someone with a Scottish accent, said it was a shame they hadn’t managed to get hold of me, but honestly, I couldn't catch who they were at all.2 yearsThey kept calling non stop, so I just blocked them straight away.2 yearsI just got off the phone right after picking up.2 yearsI've had nothing but hassle from Opus debt collectors. Best just to block the number straight away.Opus2 yearsLooks like a total scam, best to just ignore it.8 yearsSo, I got a call one evening from this number saying they were from OPOS debt collectors, chasing payment for a debt on a One Select utility bill. I was with One Select, but they went under back in December 2018, and Together Energy took over their customer accounts. The caller claimed to be collecting on behalf of Together Energy, but I haven’t received any final bill from them yet. In fact, Together Energy told me only last week that the final bill would come out on the 18th of March, which is next Monday. That’s why I’m suspicious this might not be a legit OPOS call, even though I know OPOS work with utility companies on debts. It feels like it could be a scam using One Select’s customer info, knowing lots of folks might owe money. Actually, I think my account might be in credit, so I’m probably owed a payment! Strange thing is, I haven’t seen the final bill, yet this caller somehow seems to have my details. When I ring Together Energy, they can’t confirm anything either. During the call, they said my account’s on hold and my credit record wasn’t affected while they sort it out, but they emailed me a link to log into an OPOS account - which I never set up and didn’t give them my email for. That email link could be dodgy as well. So yeah, it might be a genuine OPOS person, but I’m pretty cautious about it for now.OPOSOne SelectTogether EnergySubmit Your Own Report (0141 367 9603)
