Someone rang me from an energy provider on this number, trying to convince me to change my tariff. They already had my info and mentioned they wouldn’t ask for my full card number. Instead, they requested my bank info for setting up a direct debit. I said since they already had my details, it shouldn't be an issue. They then got quite argumentative about it, so I just ended the call. The caller was hard to hear and there was loads of background noise too.

i'm never quite sure who’s ringin me, but most of the time they either leave a voicemail or drop me a message afterwards.

So today I got a call from a guy saying he was with EON, but he started asking me stuff that surely EON would already have like my details, seemed like he was trying to fish for info. I told him I'd ring him later, and he wanted me to call back on the same number, which raised a red flag straight away. Instead, I checked EON's official site and rang the contact number listed there. They confirmed that from what he was asking, it definitely looks like a scam.
