When I rang the number back, some sort of fake American accent told me to wait while they found someone free to help. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

this number rang me and after a short silence they asked for my business name. i told them nicely that if they were selling something, i wasn’t keen, and mentioned that my number is on the tps list.

These people are a total joke. They keep ringing me, trying to get me to pay for adverts in some 'Hun Power' thing. It's a scam for sure, definitely don’t get involved with them. Trading standards need to get ready for court ‘cos whenever anyone asks questions, they either vanish, shut down, or just pop up with a dodgy, badly printed booklet stapled together, trying to dodge the law. They even said something weird about ‘ulcers police Scotland’ - seriously, I wouldn’t trust them for a second.

What a right farce these folks are! They seem never-ending in their attempts to reach out to you, trying to sell advertising space for their magazine. Honestly, it’s all a bit dodgy-best steer clear of any dealings with them. We've even got Trading Standards looking into taking legal action, but these chancers just seem to vanish or put on a new guise. If they sense you're onto them, they slap together a few shoddy pages, held together with staples, and voilà, they're seemingly off the hook. One time, they even had the audacity to claim they were from Police Scotland! Reality check-don’t put your faith in these scammers. The number is 01413672195, just in case you were wondering!

I received a rather dubious phone call earlier today-on the 1st of March, 2016, around 4:50 PM-from an individual purporting to represent a regional crime prevention unit. He was eager for me to feature an advert in their publication, aimed at highlighting reputable traders while attempting to flush out the dodgy ones. He mentioned their website as www.rcpcrime.com. This fellow claimed he acquired my information from the local building control office, but I’ve had no prior interactions with them whatsoever. It all had an air of suspicion, so I decided to decline any offers.

I received a phone call at half two this afternoon from this number. There was a rather lengthy silence before the caller inquired if it was my business telephone number. They claimed to have obtained my details from the crime prevention team and were curious about how my enterprise was faring in the vicinity. When I pressed them for their identity, they promptly hung up. It all struck me as rather suspicious.
