Received a call from a supposed energy firm, something along the lines of Tech-something. They mentioned they wanted to pop round and check my gas usage because, apparently, the government might tax those with boilers producing excessive emissions. I replied that I can simply check my gas bill for that info and that my boiler isn’t exactly ancient. Total scam artists!

In the past week or so, my phone has been bombarded with calls-approximately three to four, if I recall correctly. Unusually, this was the first to come through without a blocked number. Each time, the caller insists that I’ve put in a request for a loan-something I can assure you I haven’t done at all. It’s becoming increasingly evident this is nothing but a scam, if you ask me.
