Somebody rang and actually knew my name, so I guess they were using some kind of list or database. But then they just stayed quiet, not saying a word. After a while, I told them if they didn’t speak up, I’d report them to the police - and as soon as I said that, they ended the call!

He only said Zinc Group and wouldn’t explain what the company actually does, just that they’re a contact centre. When I asked how they got my mobile number, which I’ve had for 18 years, he refused to say. Then they got a bit hostile and ended the call.

So this daft lot called Zinc kept asking me to prove who I was! I told them nicely to bugger off, said they shouldn't be asking for my name since it was them ringing me, not the other way around. I don’t owe anyone, especially some random nobody from that firm, my details. They keep pestering me with calls, and I’ve made it clear in no uncertain terms where they can shove it!
