I received an unexpected call from an outfit named Home Fundraising, in relation to a door-to-door fundraising position. The curious thing is, I never sought out that role at all, so I had to turn them down. They mentioned that their system sifts through profiles from folks who sign up for job alerts across different sites and then reach out directly. They were quite polite, thanked me for my time, and assured me I was taken off their list. No real issues arose from it, but it was certainly a rather peculiar conversation!
