It took me a bit to pick up this call and the person on the other end was asking about my energy bills. I just told them I wasn't interested and they ended the call. I’m quite adamant about not sharing any personal information over the phone for unsolicited calls, so I made that clear to her, much like I've done with others before.

A man with a West Scotland accent rang claiming to be from an Energy firm and asked if he was talking to (my name). I asked what the call was about, but he just kept repeating if I was (my name). He had my full name, first and last. When I refused to say who I was, he said he’d ring back later that evening. I asked if it was a government programme, but she said it was a private scheme focused on windows and doors. When I said we weren’t interested, she asked how old our windows and doors were. I told her we’re on the TPS list so she shouldn’t be ringing us, and then she said goodbye quite nicely.
