6 yearssomeone rang me pretending to be from the 'credit investigation team' saying they had info about debts linked to me. they mentioned bank loans and credit cards supposedly under my name. i told them I didn’t have any loans, credit cards or overdrafts, and then they just hung up abruptly, didn’t say a thing after that.6 yearsthese calls are driving me mad. sometimes they show up as unknown, other times they say united states. after a bit of digging online, looks like they’re automated messages from the local school board in my area.United States6 yearsGot a call about sorting out some debts, so I just ended the call and put the number on block.6 yearsI picked up the call to nothing but silence, and after a moment, I managed to say hello. There was a strange buzzing sound, and before I could ask who it was, they just disconnected. Quite the odd experience!6 yearsGot a call from someone trying to talk about clearing debts I don’t owe. She wasn’t Scottish like she claimed, sounded off. Told her I wasn’t interested and hung up straight away. Really put me off.Scotland6 yearsThis bloke had such a thick accent (and nah, it weren’t Scottish) I could barely catch what he was sayin, let alone my name. After a few tries and no luck gettin through, I just told him forget it and ended the call.6 yearsGot a call from a scammer, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.Scammer6 yearsDefinitely a scam, those debt help calls are all dodgy. Best to just ignore them.6 yearsas soon as i picked up the call, it just went dead on me6 yearsI let it ring out and didn’t pick up, no message was left, so I’ve just blocked the number.6 yearsdidn’t get any message so i’ve just blocked the number now6 yearsDidn't get any message, so I've just blocked the number.6 yearsGot a call about debt help but the person on the line was really hard to understand. They kept asking stuff about what money I owed. When I told them I didn’t have any debt and wanted them to take me off their calling list, they just cut me off straight away. So annoying and pretty rude too.6 yearsThey don't leave a voicemail and when you ring them back, they don’t pick up.6 yearsIt seems that they were asserting that they possess a substantial sum linked to PPI, yet they insisted on obtaining my banking information and my date of birth. When I inquired about which specific account they were referring to, they rather unhelpfully replied with "your bank account”! They mentioned they were associated with some credit firm or other. Upon challenging him to confirm my date of birth, he stated that the bank hadn’t provided him with any information. I pointed out the glaring issue-how can they validate anything without prior details? At that point, he abruptly ended the call! Quite suspect, I must say! Feels like a scam, doesn't it?6 yearsThat experience was rather peculiar. I made it clear that I'm not yet 18; in fact, I'm now 22. When he inquired about my age, I jokingly said I was 12, and his response was rather inappropriate-he asked whether I was still a virgin before abruptly ending the call. Quite bizarre, really!Submit Your Own Report (0141 319 8326)
